busy busy bee
18 Aug 2008 | Category: | C1242MNTS I'm leaving for college in three days so I've been so busy packing, vacationing, and saying goodbye to friends. I think I've decided to keep the site. Once I'm all moved into my dorm and everything I'll probably do a bit of a revamp... or maybe buy a domain. I know what direction I want to take my site in, but this is not it.
I want to start a video blog. My laptop's camera is pure shite though. Anyone have any recommendations for a good webcam?

I honestly wish I had the motivation to blog. I have so many things I want to say, but I just can't get myself to start typing about them. It's a dilemma. I like to think it's because I've been so busy lately but I'm honestly not sure if that's the case. I think maybe the reason I'm so frustrated is because I don't like the look of my website. I feel it's very... 2004. And it has the same boring content every other site of this type has. I'm thinking major revamp sometime soon. Possibly. If I decide I even want to keep the site instead of switching over completely to Livejournal.
In light of the recent Twilight craze that seems to have everyone riled up, I decided to pick up the novel to see what all the buzz was about. I'll admit, I haven't been able to put down the book since I've begun reading it. It's not so much that it's written well, but I really want to know what happens next to the characters. I'm about 100 pages away from finishing it but today I bought the second book in the series. Eee, I don't want to turn into another fanatic!

Someone's a Slacker

and I've been getting ready for college and saying bye to everyone. I have about a month until I leave. It feels surreal. I'm very very excited.
And yes I'm finally 18!
Legally, I'm an adult now. I can go to big-people jail. eep. But there's no need for that. I'm a good girl. 
I feel like a whole world of opportunity has opened up for me... but I'm not sure of what exactly yet, haha. What are some things you can do once you're 18? Buy lottery tickets, jail, vote... nothing else really comes to mind.

07 Jul 2008 | Category: updates, work | C0MNTS I felt very accomplished today. Before 1pm I jogged, exercised, and even completed a full four-hour shift at work! But alas, after that my day only got lazier and lazier. After 1 all I got done was a small pile of laundry, but at least it's something? 
I'm determined to kick my laziness before college starts. I hate lying around doing nothing. And it's not even that I don't have other things to do, I just don't feel like getting up. That probably makes me sound like such a lardass... it definitely makes me feel like one... so that's all going to change.
Oh and today I made 10 model icons. So I'll put them up eventually.

Independence Day
06 Jul 2008 | Category: friends, family | C0MNTS Happy belated independence day to everyone in the US! And happy belated july 4th to everyone else just because. For my holiday I did what any patriotic American would do and helped boost the economy by going shopping. I bought a fabulous pair of shoes and a simple white cardigan that was marked down from $115 to like $30. God bless America! 
I joke, but this year really it really didn't feel like independence day. Not that every year we make a huge deal of it but it seems like every year the holidays seem to stand out less and less.
But anyway, my incredibly Russian relatives came over on Saturday and while I hid from them in my room they drank vodka at 2:30 in the afternoon.
They're nice people but I don't know them too well so I've sheltered myself away to surf the web and play The Sims on my laptop (that game really is addicting). Ordinarily I'd go out but literally every single one of my friends is either at college orientation right now or down the shore. So looks like I'm going to be lonely until about Wednesday when the first of them starts to come back home. Maybe I'll update the content on this site? Possibly? We'll see.
